These activities will encompass both corrective and preventative maintenance on Marine Engines, Generators, Hydraulic Systems and Electrical Power Systems or may be an advisory role as required.**Key Responsibilities and Tasks:**The Marine Engineering Support Technician provides front‐line technical support to vessels during operations, maintenance periods, and refits. The role involves diagnosing and rectifying engineering defects, conducting scheduled maintenance, and supporting harbour and sea trials. You will maintain engineering records to MCA/ISM standards, produce defect and maintenance reports, and escalate issues when required. The position requires strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures, export control regulations (including ITAR), and safe systems of work. Occasional after‐hours, night work, and sea‐going duties are expected, along with ongoing personal and professional development and ad‐hoc tasks aligned with the role.Be able to work in restricted spaces – the USV engine space has been designated a restricted space rather than confined but it is extremely tight and not everyone will be able/willing to access the compartment.**Key performance Indicators against Responsibilities and Tasks:**This role of the Field Service Engineering Team is continually monitored for performance and some of the following Key performance indicators (KPI’s) will be used* Quality of work produced against agreed standards.* Delivery to timescales.* Delivery to budget.* Performance against Thales key values.* Performance against mandatory training and the development of team competence in Thales Sonar and Electronic Warfare Systems.**Skills*** Ensure Health and Safety compliance, including Risk and COSHH Assessments, and safe working systems.* Support vessel defect rectification through fault diagnosis, testing, and trials at harbour and sea.* Maintain engineering records and write defect and post-maintenance reports per MCA/ISM standards.* Perform scheduled maintenance and escalate issues to the Service Delivery Manager as needed.* Participate in sea trials and occasional after-hours or night work.**What We Can Offer**We’re committed to giving you opportunities to be your best.
