Based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites is a fast growing manufacturer, supplying carbon/glass fibre composite parts and assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and aero engine producers. Operating across three distinct product groups namely commercial, defence and business jet products, this role is an opportunity to join a team putting the finishing touches to our highly technical products.
The manufacturing facility houses some of the most advanced machining technology in Europe such as a multi axis NDT robotic machine, automated material cutting machine and mutli axis CNC machining centres. Job Purpose:
You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspection of Aerospace components to ensure that they comply with industry standards, customer requirements and regulatory guidelines. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining safety and performance of aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform detailed inspection and quality control checks on aerospace parts and materials.
2. Assits with concession & First Article Inspection measurements data (AS9102)
3. Accuraelty record inspection findings and maintain comprehensive documentation of inspection results, defeacts and non conformities.
4. Work with functions across the business to identify and resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions and prevent measures to improve product quality and prevent defeacts.
5. Investigate and identify root cause of quality issues, defeacts and non conformances. Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement corrective and preventative action.
6. Communicate inspection results, findings and quality related issues to relevant stakeholders.
7. Authority to sign/stamp all release certifications to customer
8. Material booking in/release
9. Ability to use all inspection, general measuring equipment, verniers, micrometers etc. CMM is approved
10. Good computer skills to maintain records and documents
11. Comply fully with internal and external Quality Audits
12. Work within all company guidelines and procedures
Qualifications & Experience:
13. Indentured apprenticeship - Essential
14. Formal Academic qualification in engineering – Desirable
15. Aerospace experience - Desirable
16. Inspection/QA Experience - Essential
17. Working knowledge of ISO and Customer Quality Management Systems - Desirable
18. Computer Literate – Essential
19. Experience of composite manufacture – Desirable
