Be part of a new and exciting approach delivering good outcomes for the younger generation in Bristol.
Bristol has a clear vision for Adult Social Care with a focus on providing the best possible service for young people, drawing on care and support. We are recruiting a talented Team Manager with Adult Care or Occupational Therapy experience to join our team.
What you’ll be doing
We are proud of our diverse and vibrant city and population. You will have the opportunity to deliver innovative approaches to meet the needs of young people across communities. You will listen to the voices of young people, their parents, and carers to drive change and improve service delivery. As part of a new operating model designed to maximize independence, you will collaborate with partners across Children's, Education, and SEND partnerships.
You will lead the service to ensure the best response for young people aged 14-25. Based at City Hall, you will support practitioners working across locality areas, reaching out to schools and community organizations. You will ensure consistency in completing Care Act assessments and support plans, leading to commissioning of services to meet needs where non-commissioned support, technology, equipment, or community assets cannot ensure independence outcomes.
What we are looking for
You should be an experienced leader in adult care operations with a social work, OT, or registered professional background. Demonstrating expert knowledge of legal frameworks and Safeguarding in adult or children’s settings is essential. A strong passion for equality and inclusion to help young people thrive and develop from their uniqueness is also required.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
