This unique opportunity combines classroom teaching with the strategic responsibilities of SENDCo and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) , making it ideal for an experienced educator looking to broaden their leadership experience and influence whole-school outcomes. The Opportunity As a key member of the school community, you will: Deliver engaging, challenging and inspiring lessons to a Year 5/6 class. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can flourish. Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school, ensuring pupils receive the support and opportunities they need to achieve their full potential. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, external agencies and senior leaders to develop effective support strategies and interventions. Support the safeguarding team as Deputy DSL, promoting a strong culture of safeguarding and pupil welfare throughout the school. Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, events and pastoral leadership. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who can demonstrate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Successful experience teaching upper Key Stage 2. SENDCo qualification (or willingness to complete the National Award for SEND Coordination). A thorough understanding of SEND legislation, inclusive practice and intervention strategies. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting pupil welfare. Exceptional communication, organisation and leadership skills. The ability to inspire, motivate and build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. A genuine passion for independent education and holistic child development.
