Diagnostic Radiographer

We would like to invite you to join our friendly team at Fairfield General Hospital. The Radiology Directorate is looking to recruit a dedicated, highly motivated and enthusiastic Radiographer to join our dedicated team of highly skilled professional Radiographers at Fairfield General Hospital.

You will work as part of the radiography team, providing an efficient and high quality diagnostic imaging service 24/7, whilst dealing with patients in a caring professional manner. You will be expected, over time, to develop skills and experience in a range of areas and will be supported throughout this time by senior radiographers, although immediate supervision may not always be practicable.


Main duties of the job

You must have a degree or equivalent in Radiography obtained in the United Kingdom and be HCPC registered. These posts are ideal for Radiographers who wish to develop their skills in a busy hospital setting.

You must be able to commit to the current rota, working evenings, weekends and nights.

The departments offer a preceptorship scheme and an induction programme. The departments provide clinical placements for undergraduate radiographers and are committed to learning and development. Role extension is actively encouraged.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* UK BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or DCR (R) or pending
* HCPC Registration


Experience

* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience of working within a team and independently with support.
* Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the principles of Radiography.
* CT experience
* Demonstrates evidence of going above and beyond


Skills & Knowledge

* Ability to present information in a clear and logical manner.
* demonstrates initiative


Other

* Ability to carry out moderate physical effort throughout the working day and carry out concurrent activities subject to reasonable adjustment under the Equality Act 2010
