About the role
As the first Bid Manager, you will establish and lead the bid management function from the ground up. You will manage complex end‑to‑end proposals while designing the governance, processes, and content infrastructure required to scale. This foundational role involves cross‑functional collaboration to secure strategic public sector and enterprise contracts.
Key responsibilities
* Design and implement scalable bid processes, including qualification criteria, review stages, and standardized response libraries.
* Lead end‑to‑end proposal management for RFI, RFP, and framework submissions, ensuring compelling storytelling and compliance.
* Establish a central bid content library and track win/loss trends to drive continuous improvement in success rates.
Ideal candidate profile
* Proven experience managing bids and proposals specifically within the consulting, IT services, or professional services sectors.
* Deep knowledge of UK public sector procurement frameworks, including Crown Commercial Service, DOS, and G-Cloud.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and enforce structure under pressure.
