Job Title: SEN Teacher Location: South Shields Salary Range: £13.68 per hour Start time: September 2025 Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Are you an experienced SEN Teacher with strong English skills and a passion for inclusive education? A supportive school in South Shields is looking for a committed and skilled SEN Teacher to join their team. This role requires UK classroom experience and a UK-recognised teaching qualification. You will be working closely with pupils with a range of additional needs, delivering tailored support and fostering a positive learning experience. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, engagement, and progress. Work closely with support staff, families, and external professionals to create and implement effective learning plans. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed. Support the development of pupils' communication, literacy, and emotional regulation skills. Requirements: UK-recognised teaching qualification – essential. Must have previous UK teaching experience. Strong subject knowledge in English and ability to support literacy development. Experience working with children with SEN, including those with moderate to complex needs. Excellent behaviour management and communication skills. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
