£17.50 – £18.00 per hour dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter Operator – Sliding Head:
* Set, operate, and programme sliding head CNC machines
* Produce precision machined components to specification
* Work with Star and Citizen sliding head machinery
* Read and interpret engineering drawings
* Perform tool changes, offsets, and programme adjustments
* Inspect components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards
* Maintain machine efficiency and production output
Key Skills of a CNC Setter Operator – Sliding Head:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience setting and programming sliding head CNC machines
* Experience with Star and/or Citizen machines
* Ability to edit and optimise programmes
* Strong understanding of precision engineering and machining practices
* Experience using inspection equipment including micrometers and verniers
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
