Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £40,454 - £42,828 per annum
Leeds College of Building is the UK's only specialist further education construction college and we have an excellent reputation for providing quality education in Construction and the Built Environment. We are looking for a qualified lecturer willing to share their knowledge and skills with pre and post 16 students. You should have relevant industry experience and the ability to deliver multi-trade courses and hold a relevant qualification at Level 3 or above. The ability to communicate effectively with young people and adults and enthusiasm to help them achieve their qualification is essential. The Skills Academy has a wide and varied curriculum; however we are looking for a new member of the team to predominantly work with 14-19 year olds. Experience of working in a teaching/training capacity is desirable but not essential. A willingness to undertake teaching and assessing qualifications will be essential.
Responsibilities
Deliver multi-trade courses to pre and post 16 students. Communicate effectively with young people and adults. Contribute to a wide and varied curriculum within the Skills Academy and support 14-19 year olds.
Qualifications
Relevant industry experience and the ability to deliver multi-trade courses. A qualification at Level 3 or above. Ability to communicate effectively with learners and enthusiasm to help them achieve their qualification. Experience in a teaching/training role is desirable but not essential; willingness to undertake teaching and assessing qualifications is essential.
