Description POSITION SUMMARY As Technical Sales for the Switchgear and Busbar systems business unit, you will be responsible for the technical support to the Sales teams. This in relation to electrical power distribution solutions which we offer to our customers. The focus is on the main electrical backbone from grid connection on medium voltage level down to the servers. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, the Sales teams, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to design and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements and are aligned with Vertiv’s capabilities. The ideal candidate has a background in the design of Electrical Power Distribution solutions in the Data Center industry and has a commercial drive. Candidates with a background in other industries where large power distribution networks are common (Oil and Gas, Chemical, etc) are also strongly encouraged to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES • Drive together with the Sales teams and different technical support functions the sales of our electrical power distribution portfolio based on consultative selling. • Work in partnership with customers to understand their technical requirements and develop customized solutions using Vertiv’s product portfolio e.g. Medium and Low voltage Switchgear, Busbar systems, UPS systems, prefabricated solutions and electrical protection and automation systems • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to customers and internal stakeholders. • Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specifications • Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to validate designs and ensure alignment with production capabilities. • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the Switchgear and Busbar domain. • Manage the relationship between Sales teams and the Line of Business • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, proposals, and project progress using CRM tools. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. • Proven experience in technical sales based on solution selling, preferably in the field of electrical power distribution systems • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and related standards • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. • Proficiency in CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Willingness to travel (~30%) to customer sites and Vertiv offices as required. • Minimum 10 years’ experience in technical sales.
