About the Role
You will be working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to oversee Food & Beverage operations. Your focus will be on delivering superior service to Members, innovating to maximize sales and revenue, and ensuring that every Member and Guest has a memorable experience. You will also cover Duty Manager shifts on a rotational basis with other Supervisors and Managers at the Club.
Responsibilities
* Oversee Food and Beverage events and day‑to‑day operations within budget and to the highest standards.
* Deliver an exceptional experience to our Members to preserve excellent service levels.
* Identify customer needs and respond proactively in line with company policy and SOPs.
* Possess extensive knowledge of food & beverage and menus to inform customers and staff.
* Monitor Restaurant / Bar sales, ensuring prompt and accurate service.
* Conduct briefings before service on menu specials, dietary requirements, and special occasions.
* Ensure on‑the‑job training is conducted regularly and aligns with Club standards.
* Guarantee all food and drinks comply with departmental SOPs.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the department.
* Ensure equipment is handled correctly and incidents are logged.
* Handle cashing up correctly, following company policy.
* Oversee cleaning rotas, training records, plans, and menus on a daily/weekly basis.
* Cover Duty Manager shifts on a rotational basis.
* Complete all duties within our Customer Service values at all times.
* Support line manager or Manager with any additional duties as required.
* Enforce relevant legislation (health & safety, hygiene, fire and licensing).
Essential Requirements
* Previous supervisory experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
* Experience managing a team, training and overseeing performance (desirable but not essential).
* Strong knowledge of food and beverage; ability to pair wines, upsell, and train staff.
* Excellent people‑management skills, including setting objectives and giving feedback.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
* Experience delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards.
* Competent in Microsoft Office suite and similar software.
* Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
* Ability to lead by example.
