Job Description:
Our client a national electrical retailer and manufacturer are seeking a head of technical to join their team on a permanent basis.
What we offer:
1. £40,000-£45,000 per annum.

The role:
4. This role requires you to work closely with the Technical Director as the business’s day-to-day technical lead.
5. This role is a critical associate position, acting as the Technical Director’s right hand and supporting both day-to-day responsibilities and long-term strategic growth.
6. It will involve forming a bridge between technical, commercial, and operational functions, ensuring that product, project, and customer requirements are delivered with technical accuracy and consistency across all Fraser Hammerton Group brands.

Requirements:
13. Qualified electrician (essential) with strong practical, hands-on experience
14. Demonstrable interest in lighting systems, controls, and smart technologies
15. Strong technical grounding within a product-based or project-led environment
16. Commercial awareness, with the ability to balance technical integrity with business needs
17. Confident communicator, able to translate technical detail into clear, practical guidance
18. Willingness to travel (UK and internationally) for supplier visits, exhibitions, and product evaluation
19. Comfortable working in both strategic and hands-on environments, including practical electrical tasks when required
20. Interest in using technology, including AI, to improve technical support and knowledge sharing
21. Proactive, solutions-focused, and driven by continuous improvement
22. Ambition to grow into a senior technical leadership role within the business
