Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for a Electro Mechanical Fitter on a permanent basis for our client based in Telford. Hours Monday - Thursday - 8:30am - 5:15pm Friday - 8:30am - 12:30pm Pay £28,000 - £32,000 per annum dependent on experience Description and key responsibilities as an Electro Mechanical Fitter: Assemble precision measurement machines, jigs, and fixtures using mechanical and electrical components Work collaboratively within a skilled team of engineers, fitters, and wiremen Build complete machines from component level to finished product Proficient in bench fitting and mechanical assembly Able to make minor adjustments using lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders Skilled in using measurement tools (e.g., DTI, gauge blocks) to check geometric tolerances Experienced in assembling pneumatic systems and interpreting pneumatic schematics Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities Able to read and work from detailed engineering and assembly drawings Competent in electrical panel wiring and reading electrical/electronic schematics Basic understanding of stepper motors, control systems, sensors, and BUS systems is a plus Capable of fault-finding on DC control systems Qualifications and skill required as an Electro Mechanical Fitter: Essential Qualifications: Engineering Level 3 qualification or equivalent hands-on experience HNC in Engineering is a plus Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems Able to read technical drawings and carry out fault finding Comfortable working alone or in a team Reliable and hard-working Goal-driven and focused Confident and professional Friendly, committed, and team-oriented Ability to work in a challenging environment, under pressure and to time scales Working hours flexibility What we give you: Continuous recruitment support Guidance on CV and interview skills If you are interested in applying for this vacancy of an Electro Mechanical Fitter please email your CV to (url removed) If this role is permanent, gap personnel is operating as the employment agency.
