What does the job involve?
Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm, the world's largest offshore wind farm, is being developed in 3 phases. The wind farm is located approximately 100-150 nautical miles west of South Shields, covering over 1500 km2. During the operations phase, maintenance will be conducted from 4 Service Operations Vessels (SOVs), each equipped with a Daughter Craft (DC). The O&M Base, including a warehouse for spare parts and consumables, will be located at the Port of Tyne, South Tyneside, alongside Equinor's UK Central Control Room and Renewable Operations Center.
Equinor manages Dogger Bank during the operations phase. For its Operation & Maintenance (O&M) organization based at the Port of Tyne, we are seeking to expand our team of technicians with various technical disciplines (electrical, mechanical, telecom/automation), working on scheduled maintenance plans for the wind turbine generators (WTG).
What will my tasks be?
* Lead teams, conduct toolbox talks, work audits, and other relevant tasks as required.
* Provide first-line response to emergency incidents.
* Propose and follow up on safety, technical, operational, and procedural improvements.
* Support offshore stores, planning, and logistics processes as needed.
* Ensure high-quality maintenance and safety information is captured and processed in corporate systems per management system processes.
* Perform scheduled maintenance activities on the Haliade-X WTG.
* Handle first-line response to HVDC transmission assets, including fault diagnosis, repair, and routine maintenance support.

* Technical, operational, and maintenance experience in electrical, instrument, and/or mechanical systems from heavy industrial backgrounds such as offshore wind, oil & gas, power stations, chemical plants, steelworks, or similar.
* Authorization as a 66kV Senior Authorized Person or ability to obtain it.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings, including single line diagrams & P&ID's.
* Strong collaboration skills and a creative approach to problem-solving.
* Proactive and open-minded attitude towards learning and experience expansion.
* Ability to pass (or already hold) required medical and offshore safety training.
* Fluency in written and verbal English.
