Sales Account Manager – Analytical Instruments Location: North UK Region Sector: Scientific Sales – Analytical Instrumentation Type: Full-time, Field-based (approx. 3 days/week travel) Taylorollinson are proud to be working with a UK manufacturer of advanced analytical instrumentation. We’re seeking a motivated and commercially aware individual to grow sales across the North of the UK. This role would suit a PhD-qualified scientist (Chemistry, Materials Science, Analytical Science or related) who is keen to transition into a commercial career in industry, or an experienced sales professional already working within scientific instrumentation who is looking for their next step. Full sales and product training will be provided. Key Responsibilities * Develop and manage sales of a portfolio of analytical instruments to academic and industrial customers. * Build strong customer relationships, nurturing existing accounts and driving new business opportunities. * Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to highlight instrument capabilities. * Support customers with application expertise and guide them throughout the buying process. * Attend and represent the company at scientific conferences, exhibitions, and networking events. * Collaborate with the marketing team on customer-focused campaigns and communications. Candidate Profile * PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Science, Materials Science, or related discipline – OR significant prior experience in scientific instrumentation sales. * Strong understanding of analytical techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy, materials characterisation). * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Target-driven, proactive, and commercially minded. * Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel extensively within the Northern region.
