Unique opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter to join a prestigious training facility in Chatham, Kent.
MKC Training is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join its team at the Royal School of Military Engineering, Brompton Barracks in Chatham, Kent. This role involves maintaining and repairing mechanical machinery and equipment across training workshops, offices and classrooms.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, test and repair mechanical machinery and equipment used in technical trade training workshops, offices and classrooms.
- Perform machine turning, milling, bench fitting, welding and brazing, sheet metal work, and servicing of petrol and diesel engines/generators, pumps and hydraulics.
- Interpret engineering diagrams and charts.
- Work at height where required.
What we are looking for
- Relevant qualifications such as an Apprenticeship, C&G, NVQ or equivalent.
- Experience with machine turning, milling, bench fitting, welding and brazing, sheet metal work, and servicing of mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams and charts.
- Maintain a full UK driving license.
- Willingness to work at height.
