Salary: £34,398 – £52,490

A specialist provision in the Elstree & Borehamwood area is seeking an SEN Teacher to deliver personalised, meaningful learning for pupils aged 5 to 19. This is a nurturing, highly collaborative environment where staff work closely to help every learner grow in confidence, communication, and independence.
The Role at a Glance
Teach pupils aged 5–19 with Autism and complex needs
Work closely with a Lead LSA and class teaching team
Foster communication, self-regulation, independence, and academic progress
Use Positive Behaviour Support strategies to guide behaviour
What You’ll Be Doing
Delivering differentiated lessons tailored to a wide range of needs across the 5–19 age group
Actively engaging in play, communication, and structured learning both indoors and outdoors
Developing personalised learning plans and tracking progress
Completing daily reports and supporting communication with families
Working collaboratively with therapists, teachers, and support staff to provide consistent care
Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, sensory, and academic development
Providing personal care where required
Who We’re Looking For
QTS or equivalent
Experience supporting pupils with Autism and/or complex needs
Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in varied environments and age groups
Empathetic, patient, and nurturing in approach
Engaged and enthusiastic, willing to join in play, communication, and sensory activities
A positive, professional role model with strong communication and teamwork skills
