This is a senior engineering leadership role requiring a technical background and the willingness to work hands-on in the field when needed. You will combine strategic oversight with direct engineering involvement across installation, testing, troubleshooting, and complex site surveys.
You will lead the operational engineering function, contribute to future system design, and ensure configuration control and high quality delivery across all customer deployments. The role demands strong engineering intuition, operational judgement, and the ability to work end-to-end across the deployment life cycle.
This position requires full time onsite presence and regular travel across the UK and overseas.

Oversee robust integration of hardware components with the company's software platforms and data systems.
Provide engineering input into system design reviews, technical proposals, and roadmap planning.

Operational Responsibilities

Maintain two engineering sub-teams at full operational readiness - trained, equipped, and able to deploy at short notice.
Oversee design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of all deployed hardware assets.
Conduct and support domestic and international site surveys, including assessments of power, telecoms, networking, and environmental requirements.
Assist in evaluating and negotiating UK and overseas locations, permissions, and regulatory considerations.
Workhands on when required, including: First time installations
