Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as Construction & Sequencing Prep Lead on the Sizewell C Project and you’ll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you, Sizewell C will create a 3.2 gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for at least 60 years. It will be built next to Sizewell B which began operating in 1995 and has so far avoided more than 76 million tonnes of carbon emissions. Our proposal is to build a new nuclear power station on the East Suffolk coast which will supply 6 million homes with low-carbon electricity. This role will be hybrid with a minimum of 1-2 days per week at Aztec West, Bristol What you'll be doing You will be responsible of planning the installation activities for the Nuclear Island covering piping, equipment, HVAC and electrical items. You will develop the plan including all construction activities and define the logic to ensure effectiveness of the installation stage. You will interact closely with programmes to take cognisance of their constraints, to gather exhaustive breakdown of activities, as well as to inform path to installation. Accountabilities Proactively interact with relevant stakeholders to develop the installation sequence for Nuclear Island Accountable for end-to-end integration Phase 1 and Phase 2 (covering procurement, delivery, and installation) Communicate the plan internally and to wider audience (Civils, equipment) to ensure overall alignment to the project schedule Provide a baseline from which further assessment and analysis of variation can take place during the installation phase. Ensure adherence to the plan during installation. Provide inputs for Phase 2 cost management. These accountabilities are not an exhaustive list of the responsibilities and activities that the job holder may be required to undertake Who we're looking for Track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment. Demonstrate success in managing / developing: Integrated project plans for complex construction sites Engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery Multi-discipline EPCM projects Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation. Proficient in the use of estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Able to obtain a security clearance.
