About the Role
An established consulting organisation is seeking a highly experienced Principal Consultant - Oracle EBS Compensation & Benefits HR Functional Lead to work with major UK public sector clients. This role focuses on leading and supporting Oracle EBS HCM solutions, particularly across Core HR, Compensation, and Benefits modules.
You will act as a trusted expert-translating complex functional and technical concepts into clear, meaningful insights for stakeholders ranging from technical teams to senior leadership.
What You'll Do
* Lead and support Oracle EBS HCM initiatives for UK public sector clients, with a focus on:
✔ Core HR
✔ Compensation
✔ Benefits
* Provide hands-on functional expertise across EBS HCM modules.
* Use advanced knowledge of HCM technical tools including:
o HCM Data Loader (HDL)
o HCM Extract
o BI Reporting
o Fast Formulas
o Payroll Batch Loader
* Communicate complex solution designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Support and enhance existing Oracle EBS HCM implementations.
* Produce high-quality project documentation, including:
o Status reports with RAG updates
o Risk and mitigation logs
o RAID logs
What We're Looking For
Required
* 12+ years of experience implementing and supporting Oracle EBS HCM within the UK public sector.
* Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle EBS Core HR, Compensation, and Benefits modules.
* Solid understanding of HCM technical tools (HDL, HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulas, Payroll Batch Loader).
* Excellent communication skills-able to convey complex solutions to diverse teams.
* Experience supporting and optimising existing Oracle EBS HCM solutions.
* Strong reporting and documentation skills.
Preferred
* Strong planning and delivery management skills, particularly for release cycles.
* Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
* Experience coaching/mentoring and managing teams of 5+ members.
* Familiarity with Lean/Agile methodologies and ITIL best practices.
