An ambitious, fast-growing logistics business is on the lookout for a hands-on Sortation Centre Manager to take full operational ownership of a brand-new site in Nottingham. This is your opportunity to shape, lead and grow a key part of the network at an exciting stage of expansion.
With significant backing and bold growth plans, this business is scaling its operations across the UK, opening multiple new sites over the coming years. You'll play a pivotal role in building this new operation from the ground up-establishing processes, creating a high-performing team, and embedding a strong, values-led culture from day one.
What You'll Be Doing:Full operational leadership of the Nottingham Sort CentreEmbedding consistent, effective processes and operational standardsBuilding and developing a motivated, high-performing teamDriving performance across safety, productivity, cost, and serviceCollaborating with central teams across engineering, planning, and operationsContributing to the future design of operations, including automation and advanced tech integration
What We're Looking For:Strong leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, or sortation operationsProven ability to implement and drive operational processes at paceHighly disciplined, hands-on approach with excellent task executionTechnical aptitude to engage with operational technology and automationTrack record of delivering in high-volume, fast-paced environments
Bonus Points For:Experience managing 24/7 or night-shift operationsExposure to automation or robotics within logisticsConfidence managing complex supplier relationshipsExperience scaling operations during periods of significant growth
