We are looking for an enthusiastic patient care coordinator to join or our friendly reception team in an exciting role in a very busy Medical Practice.
You will be working 30 hours per week, split across Monday - Friday (6 hours per day).
You must be available between 8am - 6.30pm. Shift patterns are generally 8am - 2.30pm or 12pm to 6.30pm, with flexibility to change shifts where required.
Daily duties include:
Using our clinical systems - EMIS Web and Docman and other third party software (experience is desirable but not essential)
Dealing with patient queries face to face, over the phone, via email, or text message.
Managing online requests from patients
Coordinating the care of the patients
Directing patients to appropriate clinicians or services
First point of contact for all patients
Booking and cancelling appointments
Registering patients
Filing, scanning, emailing and photocopying
Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
Processing patient deductions
Support with management of blood test results
Support with processing prescriptions requests
Support with other administration duties where required
Essential skills
Previous experience working in a GP Practice is preferred
Customer service/reception experience
Excellent communication skills
Computer literate
Must be very confident in learning new computer systems
Be able to work independently and use own initiative
Excellent team player
Able to adapt to all situations
Full training will be provided for the successful applicant
