Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream primary school in the OL16 area that are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA2) to join their supportive and nurturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to inclusive education and wants to play a key role in helping pupils with additional needs to thrive - both academically and emotionally.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
* Assist in the implementation of individual behaviour support plans
* Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour through consistent, calm strategies
* Support learning across a broad curriculum, adapting activities where necessary
* Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external agencies to deliver targeted interventions
* Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
* Experience working with children with SEMH and/or additional needs in a primary setting
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
* A nurturing, empathetic attitude and a passion for inclusive education
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
