Lead Occupational Therapist – Complex Rehab Unit
Broadgreen Hospital (University Hospitals of Liverpool) – Band 7, Full‑time, Permanent (37.5 h/week). The role is Team Lead OT on the Phoenix Rehabilitation Unit, delivering complex rehabilitation for patients following traumatic injury or illness.
Key Responsibilities
* Expertly assess and treat patients with neurological, cognitive, posture, fatigue, and anxiety issues.
* Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, supervising juniors, assistants, and students.
* Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans, coordinating with social workers and rehab coordinators for discharge planning.
* Facilitate case conferences, capacity assessments, and best‑interest meetings.
* Participate in CMRN audits, research projects, and professional development activities.
* Assist managers in achieving departmental objectives and foster an open management style.
Qualifications & Experience
* BSc or Diploma in OT, HCPC registration.
* Specialist post‑registration qualification in a relevant specialty.
* Demonstrable postgraduate clinical experience and CPD evidence.
* Active experience in audit and staff supervision.
* Teaching experience and ability to support junior staff.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and time‑management skills.
* Experience working with external agencies and implementing change.
* Leadership course completion (e.g., LEO) desirable.
