Location: BreconDuration:Permanent Start: June 2026Work Pattern: 21 hours per weekSalary: £25,000 per annum (Based on 35 hours full time) We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domestic Abuse Assessment Worker to join a specialist support service. This important role involves engaging with individuals affected by domestic abuse, completing high-quality risk and needs assessments, and ensuring survivors are connected to the most appropriate support services to enhance safety and wellbeing. Key responsibilities include:
* Provide quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse.
* Conducting comprehensive risk and needs assessments
* Providing immediate emotional and practical support
* Developing safety and support plans
* Provide a triage service for clients waiting to move onto the community support.
* Working collaboratively with partner agencies
* Maintaining accurate and confidential case records
* Supporting safeguarding processes and referrals
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with vulnerable individuals or within support services
* Understands the dynamics and impact of domestic abuse
* Has strong assessment, communication, and organisational skills
* Can manage sensitive situations professionally and empathetically
* Is committed to empowerment, equality, and survivor-focused practice
