Support our continued growth by joining us as a Development Test Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager. In this role, you will collaborate with the engineering team to develop systems supporting R&D testing, focusing on automating test systems. We seek a self-driven individual with a broad skill set who thrives in a small, dynamic team environment. This role is ideal for versatile professionals and not suited for specialists accustomed to large organizations with fixed roles.
The Role Includes:
1. Collaborating to define test system software specifications.
2. Developing automation software interfacing with hardware such as I2C, SPI, USB, GPIB, TCP/IP, RS-232.
3. Creating user interfaces for test systems and demo platforms.
4. Planning development timelines and milestones.
5. Managing external contractors involved in projects.
6. Qualifications include a BSc/BEng in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related fields.
7. At least 3 years of experience in Python automation for testing instruments.
8. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
9. Experience with software version control and defect tracking tools.
10. Experience supporting R&D and manufacturing data management through software development.
11. Proficiency with version control systems like Git or SVN.
12. Developing drivers for test equipment interfaces.
13. Skills in statistical analysis and data visualization tools such as JMP or Tableau.
14. Experience working with databases like MongoDB.
15. Knowledge of optical component testing.
16. Firmware development experience for embedded systems.
17. Experience in PCB assembly development.
