Term TimeSports Coach- Primary School based
22 hours Per week/39 week contract
Tuesday 9:00-4:30, Wednesday 9:00-4:30 and Friday 9:00-4:00pm.
£14per hour +London Weighting + Holiday Pay
Location: Streatham
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and energetic Sports Coach to join a well establishedteam and inspire children and young people through high-quality sports coaching. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, has a strong background in sports, and enjoys creating a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver structured, engaging, and inclusive sports sessions for children of various ages and abilities.
* Encourage physical activity, teamwork, and personal development through sports.
* Adapt coaching techniques to cater to children with different learning styles and abilities, including SEND.
* Ensure safe and appropriate use of equipment and facilities.
* Promote positive behaviour management and maintain a fun but disciplined learning atmosphere.
* Build strong relationships with children, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
* Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
* Follow and uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and child protection policies.
* Assist in organising sports events, competitions, and holiday camps.
Requirements:
* Coaching Qualifications (e.g., Level 1 or Level 2 in a relevant sport, Multi-Sports Coaching Certificate)
* Experience working with children in a school, sports club, or community setting
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Passion for sports and inspiring young people
* Ability to plan and deliver fun, engaging, and developmental session
* Safeguarding & First Aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
* Experience in PE delivery or working in a school setting
* Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and curriculum-based PE sessions
* Additional qualifications in SEND coaching or behaviour management
