Porchlight provides safe and supportive accommodation to people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or other vulnerabilities. We're looking for a reliable, professional cleaner to help us maintain welcoming, hygienic, and safe environments across our supported housing and office locations. This role involves a mix of routine and ad hoc cleaning tasks in communal areas, void properties, and office spaces. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our homes and workplaces are clean, comfortable, and dignified for residents, staff, and visitors. We’re looking for someone dependable, practical, and empathetic. You’ll be confident working alone, understand the importance of cleanliness and infection control, and be comfortable engaging professionally with vulnerable residents. We welcome applications from candidates who prefer to work 3 full days or reduced hours over 5 days. This role will require travel within East Kent, so the post-holder should have a full driving license and the use of a vehicle, subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. Base: Canterbury with travel within East Kent Salary: £14,742 (£24,570 Full time equivalent). Working pattern: 22.5 hours per week. Flexible – 3 full days or reduced hours over 5 days Monday to Friday. This is a fixed-term role for one year from appointment as we pilot in-house cleaning services.
