Equans is looking for a Senior Estates Manager to join the team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Reporting to the Account Director, the post holder will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the maintenance services in accordance with the requirements of the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Concession Agreement at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and associated estates property including Main Acute Hospital, Heritage and Mental Health estate.
Responsible for the effective management of the Technical Services Managers, Assistant Estates Managers and trade staff ensuring all maintenance activities comply with the statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines.
The post holder will also collaborate and co-operate with the Service Providers to deliver customer focused, cost effective and efficient maintenance service.
What will you deliver?
* Providing operational and technical expertise to the contract team
* Development of service-related continuous improvement initiatives, from conception to introduction
* Development and introduction of business efficiency measures to ensure a cost effective and best value approach
* Providing AP/CP expertise ensuring Statutory Compliance Management and delivery of FM services to satisfy service level agreements/KPIs
* Technical competence with requirement to lead / influence continuous improvement within complex healthcare environments
* Able to quickly assess challenges and opportunities, offer pragmatic solutions and influence direction
* Ability to accept and work with ambiguity in resolving high volumes of often complex challenges expediently
* Commercially astute in order to drive continuous improvement opportunities
* On occasions travel will be required infrequently across the UK, therefore flexibility will be required

Who are we looking for?
* Must have Electrical or Mechanical experience within a PFI Healthcare environment
* Manage and co-ordinate direct employed labour and sub-contractors in reacting to breakdowns and implementing the Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines
* Provide technical assurance advice across the discipline of maintenance services
* Review and develop the quality of service at an operational level and Control expenditure as delegated by the Account Director
* Ensure all staff are trained and aware of health and safety responsibilities in accordance with statutory, NHS and Trust guidelines and the companies Incident and Behavioural Safety Initiatives
* Set objectives and appraise staff in line with company policy
* Positively manage relationships with stakeholders and Trust representatives to enhance perception of service provision
* Be prepared to undertake any relevant training in order to develop the post in line with changing needs of the service provision
* Maintain records as appropriate, relevant plant and equipment for technical performance
* Act as Authorised Person where directed and appointed
* Participate in Senior Management & maintenance on-call Rota
* Experience of risk management and health and safety
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry guidelines
