Note: The role will be based in Dubai, UAE, Riyadh, KSA, or Bahrain.
MCG Talent is seeking experienced government experts to oversee projects that integrate expertise from various disciplines, including strategic communications, capacity building, and public policy, to deliver outcomes for our clients. This role is for a leading advisory firm within the government space.
This position requires someone with experience in a communications role within the public sector or extensive experience working directly with government entities.
Responsibilities:
* Based in Dubai, Bahrain, or Riyadh, working closely with government entities and officials.
* Provide strategic counsel and develop communication strategies.
* Handle crisis communications.
* Lead medium to large projects for government entities, developing and implementing strategies, policies, and plans.
* Structure and deliver communication programs.
* Manage ambiguity regarding objectives, stakeholders, and constraints.
* Apply models and tools to solve client problems.
* Synthesize complex data into concise, compelling presentations.
* Manage with authority mid to senior-level government officials.
* Strong interest in central government, SWF, or culture and tourism sectors.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience working with government clients, preferably in the Gulf region.
* Managed projects from start to finish with clear plans and structured workstreams.
* Commissioned and integrated analysis from colleagues.
* Managed communications workstreams for large government projects, delivering successful communications at key moments (e.g., launch, milestones).
* Developed solutions based on stakeholder needs and importance.
* Provided reputational counsel during crises.
* Led and developed staff.
* Awareness of domestic, regional, and global current affairs.
