The details:
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
Place of work: Hybrid working both in the office and from home (office full time during training period)
Rate of pay: £24,200 - £28,000 per annum
The role:
The role will be supporting the Product Development team in both daily duties and projects.
The role will involve:
* Utilising Projectplace to manage the workload of all individual NPD briefs being formulated
* Formulating customer NPD briefs and creating CCL's own formulations, ensuring they're nutritionally and legally compliant for the intended territory of sale
* Creating and/or arranging samples of finished products developed by the NPD team for customers
* Creating a workflow of completion dates for all tasks associated with the 'NPD Samples Request' process
* Building relationships with flavour houses to expand the NPD flavour library and understand flavour trends
* Providing daily support to customers in a timely manner and updating them on the progress of their projects
* Liaising with and providing support to our third-party suppliers during all product development projects
* Collaborating with the product development and marketing team to assess market trends and present new ideas for formulation and ingredient launches
* Ensuring all amendments made to NPD formulations are captured on the system when required
* Liaising with the Compliance team to ensure Product Specs (FPSs) are created and/or amended when changes to formulations are made
* Presenting to customers virtually or when they visit site for NPD days and sample tastings
* Attend and contribute to team meetings when required
* Attend virtual and physical tradeshows to represent the function of the NPD/Innovation team when required
The requirements:
To be successful in this role you will either have excellent nutritional knowledge and/or a nutritional qualification along with an understanding of nutritional compliance, legal formulations and permitted label claims. A passion for ingredients, nutrition, health and wellbeing is also essential.
