Social Worker - MASH Team - Barnsley, UK - £35 per hour - Hourly - Ongoing Contract

We have a full-time locum position within our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children. What you will do:
* Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, using your expertise to support early intervention and prevention strategies.
* Develop safety plans tailored to each child's needs, managing complex cases with precision and care.
* Analyse information from various sources to ensure timely and effective service delivery for children and families in need.
* Collaborate with professionals from different backgrounds to deliver a multi-agency approach to safeguarding children.
* Utilise your knowledge of the Signs of Safety framework and Mosaic system to inform and implement best practice strategies.

Requirements for the Social Worker:
* Degree or equivalent in social work; must hold current Social Work England registration.
* Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services, particularly within a MASH or Screening Team setting.
* Clear understanding of thresholds, risk management, and the ability to work at pace.
* The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments and bring a wealth of knowledge to assessing and supporting children at risk. As you’ll be based in a police building initially, consent for South Yorkshire Police vetting checks is required; remote work is supported until checks are complete.
