PSHE Teacher
* Annual Salary: £162 - £232 per day
* Location: Lancaster
* Job Type: Full-time, Maternity Cover
* Working Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Reed Education is seeking a dynamic PSHE Teacher for a long-term maternity cover starting in October at a secondary school in Lancaster. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the PSHE curriculum and a commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Planning and delivering lessons on topics such as health, safety, emotional well-being, relationships, and financial literacy.
* Assessing pupil progress and providing feedback to foster development.
* Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Complying with safeguarding policies and ensuring student welfare.
* Liaising with colleagues and parents to support the students' educational and personal development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Recent relevant experience of teaching PSHE at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is an advantage.
* Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
* Reliable, committed, and capable of being a good role model displaying qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
* Good interpersonal skills; must be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
