Job Description
To work on a data centre project in Oxford, we need an HSE Officer to start on 18th August. You must be within commutable distance.
Client: Our client are experts within the welding & pipefitting areas of mechanical engineering.
Roles and responsibilities
* Provide general support and assistance to the Health and Safety Manager
* Ensure that site personnel comply with site safety and company requirements
* Implement and maintain the company’s Safety Management System
* Undertake site inspections / audits and report findings to the project EHS Manager
* Identify training needs and report requirements to the project EHS Manager
* Deliver Health and Safety Inductions, and weekly Toolbox Talks
* Organise and chair Safety Meetings
* Review sub-contractors’ Method Statements / Risk Assessments and assist where required
* Assist with accident / incident investigation reports
* Submit weekly reports
* Carry out daily site walks and report findings to project supervisors immediately
* Advise and assist the site teams in drafting Safe Plans of Action
Requirements
* Recognised EHS Qualification (NEBOSH or similar)
* 4+ years’ experience in a similar role
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence safety
* Must be local to Oxford
Conditions
* Negotiable hourly pay rate
* Estimated 50 hours per week
