Offer description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a HSE Manager based in our Doncaster or Widnes depot. The HSE Manager will ensure our people, operations and projects stay safe and compliant, by engaging with our teams, driving QHSE excellence and proactively managing risk to ensure safety is part of everything we do.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

What you’ll do as a HSE Manager:

1. Drive QHSE excellence across the business, supporting the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of QHSE management systems in line with ISO standards, regulatory requirements and company policies.

2. Proactively manage risk, developing and embedding robust policies, procedures and safe systems of work to identify, assess and mitigate hazardous conditions across operational sites.

3. Be a visible QHSE leader on site, delivering audits, inspections and assurance activities while coaching operational teams to build a positive, proactive and values‑driven safety culture.

4. Lead with insight and accountability, analysing QHSE performance data, investigating incidents and leading root cause analysis to implement effective corrective and preventative actions that drive measurable improvement.

You are:

5. Professionally qualified QHSE specialist, holding a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent); Lead ISO Auditor status is desirable, alongside a clear commitment to ongoing professional development and active membership of a recognised body such as IOSH.

6. Comprehensive technical knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation, ISO‑aligned QHSE management systems and industry best practice, with hands‑on experience implementing safe systems of work including RAMS and Permit to Work.

7. Proven experience in fast‑paced, operational environments, such as energy, utilities, construction or industrial services, with the ability to balance compliance requirements with commercial and operational demands.

8. Proactive and solutions‑focused safety leader, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills to engage effectively with frontline teams, contractors and senior stakeholders alike.

9. Full UK driving licence essential, as the role involves frequent travel between sites and flexible working to meet operational requirements.

Here’s what you’ll get:

10. A highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including a generous pension plan, annual bonus opportunities, and Life Assurance.

11. Annual leave allowance of 30 days plus 3 public holidays with the flexibility to buy or sell additional days to suit your lifestyle

12. Opportunity for overtime based on business demand

13. Ongoing training and personalised development pathways to help you grow your skills and progress in your career

14. Paid volunteering days, giving you the chance to make a positive impact in your local community

15. Access to our Employee Assistance Programme, offering confidential support and resources to promote your wellbeing and a healthy work–life balance

Our people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent. If that feels like you, apply now and build your career with the people bringing energy to the world.
