Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be joining a well-established manufacturing business operating within a bulk processing environment.
This is a site-based role supporting continuous production through a mix of reactive and planned maintenance. The site is mechanically biased, with most faults relating to wear components and material handling systems.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a stable, long-term role within a close-knit engineering team, where the focus is on keeping plant running efficiently rather than high-speed automation.

* Experience working within a manufacturing / processing / industrial environment
* Engineering Qualification
* Commutable to site
Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
* Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias
* Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
* Ability to diagnose faults and repair plant equipment independently
* Comfortable working on bulk handling / processing equipment
* Able to PLC fault find
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
* Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance across site machinery (majority reactive)
* Ensuring plant and machinery operate efficiently to minimise downtime
* Diagnosing and repairing faults across mechanical and electrical systems
* Completing routine inspections and site walkarounds (safety, leaks, general condition)
* Working on components such as beater bars, bearings, chains, belts, sprockets and alignments
* Supporting production by maintaining equipment availability
* Participating in the on-call rota and responding to breakdowns where required
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work on:
* Silos & storage bins
* Screw, bucket and belt conveyors
* Hammer mills and pellet mills
* Mixers and blending equipment
* Automated batching and dosing systems
* Weigh scales / load cells
* Bagging and bulk loading systems
* Palletising equipment
* Dust extraction systems
* Compressed air systems
* Motors, drives, sensors and basic PLC systems
