Support Worker – Children with Autism (Rotational Shifts) Location: Preston, UK
Shift Pattern: Rotational (includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays)
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Temp to Perm)
Salary: Hourly rate for the first 12 weeks, followed by a permanent role with Annual CTC
Are you an experienced support worker with a background in care homes and a passion for supporting children with autism?
We are seeking dedicated professionals in the Preston area to join our team, providing person-centred care in a structured and supportive environment for children with autism and complex needs.
Provide high-quality care and supervision to children with autism in carehome or supported living settings
Assist with daily routines including personal care, meals, and engaging developmental activities
Support emotional and behavioural regulation using autism-informed and trauma-sensitive approaches
Work collaboratively with families, clinical teams, and other professionals to deliver consistent care
Maintain accurate records, ensuring all safeguarding and compliance protocols are followed
Experience working in a care home setting (essential)
Previous experience supporting children with autism or complex learning disabilities
Strong knowledge of autism spectrum conditions, sensory needs, and communication styles
Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to care
Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
