Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Recruitment and Training officer to join an award-winning domiciliary care provider. This role is pivotal to the organisation and ensures the delivery of exceptional, person-centred recruitment services across a designated region. Supported by an offshore recruitment team, the focus is to ensure the recruitment, onboarding and training processes run smoothly. This will include being the first point of contact for shortlisted candidates, conducting interviews and assessment days, and developing tailored onboarding and training plans. The role is offered with flexible working and is based at the company’s offices near Kingston.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and training activities across a designated region.
* Be the first point of contact for shortlisted candidates and conduct interviews and assessment days.
* Develop tailored onboarding and training plans in collaboration with operational management, learning and development, and support teams.
* Work with an offshore recruitment team to ensure smooth processes and regulatory compliance, including organising onboarding and security checks.
* Advise on recruitment best practices and contribute to strategic hiring plans.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience in-house recruitment and training within care, giving, or not-for-profit environments.
* Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding and training processes.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
* Outstanding people skills with an empathetic approach.
* Ability to build trust and rapport with clients and families.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.
