A large and inclusive mainstream secondary school in St Helens is seeking multiple Teaching Assistants to join their team due to expansion and intake demands. Opportunities are available to work in the main school supporting pupils in lessons, and within the on-site SEND unit, providing tailored support for students with additional needs.

Care work or residential support
Youth work or mentoring
Police, fire service, or other emergency services
Sports coaching, community support, or other people-focused roles
Your transferable skills—such as patience, resilience, communication, and teamwork—are highly valued.
What You’ll Need:
A current DBS certificate (or willingness to apply – we can help)
A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine interest in working with young people
Confidence in supporting students aged 11–16, both 1:1 and in small groups
Flexibility to work across different subjects and support needs
