Job description
Our client, a respected entity within the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Engineer - Support Engineering (Training Services) to join their team on a contract basis. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the training services within the organisation, providing critical support to submarine solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Advise and assist in the development and delivery of training services.
2. Provide specialist support to the training services team.
3. Analyise and evaluate training needs within the submarine solutions domain.
4. Document and report on training progress and outcomes.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure training standards are maintained.
6. Offer expert input on training strategies and methodologies.
7. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
8. Attend onsite meetings as required to coordinate support efforts.
Job Requirements:
9. Experience in support engineering within the defence and security sector.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
12. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
13. Understanding of training processes and requirements in a technical context.
14. Ability to meet security clearance requirements (SC).
15. Willingness to attend site 2 days a week every fortnight.
16. Commitment to a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Contract Details:
17. Location: Barrow, with 2 days onsite every fortnight.
18. Duration: 12 months.
19. Hours: 37 hours per week.
20. Security Clearance: Required (SC).
