THE ROLE The PR Lead will own and lead New Look’s PR and Talent strategy in the UK, ensuring the brand shows up consistently, creatively and credibly across earned media, influencer, ambassador and celebrity channels. Sitting within the Brand & Marketing function, this role is responsible for shaping proactive storytelling, managing reactive press activity, and developing a clear, insight-led talent strategy that drives brand relevance, cultural impact and commercial performance. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong judgement, excellent media and talent relationships, and the ability to balance creative brand storytelling with measurable business outcomes. Drive proactive PR campaigns and talent activations that build brand relevance, cut-through and cultural credibility. Define and evolve the brand’s talent ecosystem across influencers, creators, ambassadors and celebrity partnerships. Identify and own key cultural moments, narratives and talent opportunities across fashion, lifestyle, partnerships and purpose. Develop and manage annual PR & Talent calendars and budgets. Media Relations & Reputation Act as senior lead for reactive press office activity, managing issues, enquiries and reputational risk. Build and maintain strong relationships with key fashion, lifestyle, consumer, trade media and talent agencies. Provide senior counsel on messaging, tone and positioning, particularly in sensitive or high-profile situations. Ensure consistent brand narrative across media and talent channels. Team Leadership Lead, coach and develop the in-house PR & Talent team, setting clear priorities and high standards of delivery. Foster a collaborative, supportive team culture with a strong focus on creativity, accountability and impact. Clearly define roles and responsibilities across press office and talent management. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Brand, Marketing, Social, Partnerships and Creative teams to ensure integrated planning and joined-up storytelling. Partner with Internal and Corporate Communications to ensure consistency between external brand messaging and wider business communications where required. Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising and Design teams to align talent strategy with product priorities and key launches. Own relationships with senior leaders across the business. Measurement & Management Set clear KPIs across PR and Talent, including earned media value, reach, engagement, sentiment and commercial impact. Evaluate effectiveness using insight and data to continuously improve performance. Manage PR & Talent budgets, agency relationships and resources effectively WHO YOU ARE: Excellent people skills, computer literate, excellent time management Ability to prioritise workload and tasks Good telephone manner and exemplary organisational skills Demonstrated expertise in PR and talent strategy development 5 years’ experience in fashion PR and/or talent/influencer management Proven experience securing and managing influencer, ambassador or celebrity partnerships Strong existing media, influencer and talent agency contacts University degree (ideally within brand marketing, media, communications or digital) Retail experience is highly desirable Essential skills/knowledge Demonstrated expertise in PR and talent strategy development Strong understanding of influencer marketing metrics and ROI measurement Strong negotiation and relationship management skills Acute creative acumen and cultural awareness Proven understanding of the omnichannel marketing mix Commercially aware and insight-driven decision maker Strong visual and verbal communication skills Agency or in house experience Experience managing budgets and external agencies Proven line management and leadership capability
