Requirements
Must have:
- A STEM background with proven experience in product development, ideally within construction or manufacturing - Strong, demonstrable experience in New Product Development (NPD) focused on NPD projects - Clear understanding of development and manufacturing processes, with the ability to explain and apply them - Experience working with manufacturing operations, including outsourced suppliers, with the ability to define and assess quality and performance standards - Confidence working cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams - Ability to translate customer insight into robust technical requirements and development plans - Proactive, resilient, and solution-oriented mindset, with strong communication and influencing skills
Responsibilities:
- Lead New Product Development projects from concept to launch, aligned to the SGIS innovation calendar - Analyze construction market trends and customer needs to identify new solution opportunities - Gather customer insight from house builders, main contractors, and architects, and translate this into clear technical specifications - Design, develop, and test formulations, materials, and systems in laboratory environments - Build and test full-scale prototypes to evaluate real-world performance - Work closely with manufacturing teams, both internal and external, to define quality standards and ensure solutions are manufacturable at scale - Collaborate with suppliers to align quality, performance, and supply requirements - Visit construction sites and external test facilities to validate solutions in live environments - Lead cross-functional project teams and influence stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget - Ensure all solutions meet safety, quality, compliance, and sustainability standards, supporting Saint-Gobains net zero ambitions
