Key responsibilities:
1. Support and manage all aspects of existing weed science projects.
2. Focus on herbicide efficacy testing in field and glasshouse trials.
3. Plan and deliver project meetings, develop knowledge exchange materials and reports in line with agreed project milestones.
4. Clear communication with stakeholders, project partners and funders.
5. Working independently and with project partners/ADAS colleagues to market and promote project materials and outputs.
6. Support senior and principal consultants to develop new project ideas and proposals, as well as your own.
7. Develop a good profile and reputation within and outside ADAS, with clients, collaborators and the scientific community.
What we require:
8. Degree BSc (Hons) or MSc in a relevant subject e.g. Environmental Sciences, Biology/Biological Sciences, Applied Biology/Ecology, Plant science, Agriculture or Horticulture, or relevant industry experience.
9. Knowledge and experience of herbicide efficacy in the UK.
10. Clear presenting style and demonstrable skills in written and verbal communication.
11. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to work across a range of internal groups and external organisations.
12. Full UK driving licence.
Salary and benefits:
13. This is a permanent role based at ADAS Boxworth, Cambridgeshire.
14. Salary range £30k to £38k per annum depending on experience.
