We are looking for a deputy/registered manager for a brand new home in Wigan. As the Registered manager your primary role is to provide leadership and management of the team and service on a daily basis and maintain compliance with all Regulatory and Statutory requirements. o To be registered with Ofsted and as such, be legally responsible and accountable for the effective and safe running of the service. Ensuring the service is compliant with all relevant statutory regulations. o To adhere to the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and policies and procedures of the company. o To provide leadership and direction to the team daily, oversee and deliver effective support and supervision to the team. The Registered Manager must act as an effective practice leader by monitoring the quality and professionalism of the Deputy Manager, Senior Support worker and Support Workers. They must offer guidance and mentorship in those circumstances where practice does not meet required standards and provide positive feedback and support, so that excellent practice may be maintained. o The Registered Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality care to the children and young people who may reside within our home, as well as strategic planning within the home and the day-to-day management of the service. o The Registered Manager is employed for 40 hours per week; however they will be expected to arrange their own work rota and this may involve some evening, weekend or potentially sleep in duties. The Registered Manager is wholly responsible for ensuring an appropriate staff presence to meet the childcare needs of the children and young people within the service managing and maintain a defined and equitable rota system. o To maintain high standards in the home and act as a positive role model. o To assist in formulating assessments of needs for each young person. o To complete and maintain all documents relevant to the home - Statement of Purpose, Regulation 45 Audit reports, Young Persons Guide, Location Risk Assessment, Placement Plans and Workforce Plan. o To ensure the team provides a caring, nurturing, and supportive environment for young people which respects and affirms their racial, cultural religious identity and lifestyle. o To assist in returning young people to their families if appropriate and in line with their Care Plans or enable them to move on to alternative carers or independence at the appropriate stage in their lives. o To oversee the implementation of each young persons care plan considering their wishes and views. o To ensure the young people are safeguarded and protected within the Childrens Home and wider community.
