Analyst / Associate (German Speaker) - Energy Investment Bank, London
This is an excellent opportunity to gain a great deal of exposure at a specialist corporate finance and M&A advisory firm at the forefront of the global energy transition.
The Role
This will suit an existing Analyst 2 or Analyst 3 seeking the next step in their career towards an entrepreneurial and boutique environment with high levels of exposure and responsibility.
What You’ll Do
* End-to-end deal support: Work across live transactions from pitch to close, building financial models, valuations, and managing due diligence streams alongside partners.
* Direct client exposure: Participate in client calls and meetings early, helping prepare materials and developing relationships with founders, executives, and investors.
* Industry research & insights: Produce deep dives on market trends, comparable transactions, and strategic landscapes to inform pitches and deal positioning.
* Process coordination: Help run tight deal processes in a lean team, liaising with lawyers, accountants, buyers, and internal stakeholders to keep timelines on track.
* High-impact execution: Take ownership of key workstreams typically reserved for more senior bankers at larger firms, gaining broad exposure across origination, execution, and strategy.
Essential Requirements
* Fluent English & German speaker (Must have due to strong DACH deal flow)
* Excellent financial modelling technical experience
* Strong communication, analytical skills, attention to detail, initiative, and tenacity
