Overview
Holmes Court is a newly built residential home for people aged 18 or over with complex needs including Autism, learning disability and behaviour that challenges. Holmes Court is located in Ballymena and neighbours Slemish Nursing Home. Holmes Court is within walking distance of local shops and parks, and the home can be reached easily by bus or train. Holmes Court has hired an entirely new workforce, which creates exciting new opportunities to be part of the team.
The Role
This role can be full time or part time. The Domestic Assistant is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. The Domestic Assistant will support the Housekeeper with the environment of the Home and contribute to the wellbeing and quality of life of residents. The Domestic Assistant will ensure that the Home is clean, tidy and welcoming at all times. The Domestic Assistant works closely with care teams and residents, building trusting relationships to create a comfortable environment where residents feel safe and cared for. From ensuring rooms are clean to tidying communal areas, every task contributes to the value we add to residents’ lives.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure the expected cleanliness and hygiene standards are achieved throughout the home
* Cover domestic duties as assigned
* Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management
* Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule
* Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations
* Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager or Housekeeper

* A good standard of both verbal and written English
* Relevant experience for the role
* The Right to Work in the UK
Desired Criteria
* Previous care home experience
* Basic knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety and Fire Regulations
