Pay: £31,650 - £43,607
Wiltshire SN11
I am working with a vibrant Catholic Primary school located in Wiltshire that is more than just a place where children learn to read and write. It is a place where they are nurtured, where their faith is strengthened, and where they are prepared to be thoughtful, compassionate members of society. This school's values go beyond academics—they are the values of kindness, respect, and love for one another, rooted in our Christian faith.
This school has an exciting opportunity for a SEND TA to join a year 3 student from now until the end of the academic year. You will play a vital role in a child's educational, emotional and social development, working directly with them on a 1:1 basis. You must be able to provide a calm, consistent and reassuring presence, adapting classroom materials to encourage engagement and proactive learning.
Responsibilities:
* Adapting lesson materials, making them accessible to the pupil.
* Providing one to one support during class.
* Reinforcing learning objectives set by the teacher.
* Assisting with literacy and numerical tasks breaking them down into more manageable steps.
* Understanding the individual needs of the pupil to best support them in class.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with SEND children.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the pupil, parents and colleagues effectively.
* Patience, empathy and resilience to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Relevant qualifications and training in supporting children with SEND.
* An understanding of relevant safe guarding and child protection procedures.
