We’re looking for a Volunteer HR Advisor to help with essential HR advice and light admin keeping our policies up to date, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and making sure our team and volunteers feel confident and supported. What We’re Looking For HR qualification (CIPD) or equivalent experience in HR, people management, or volunteer management Comfortable with small-organisation HR and basic UK employment law Able to explain HR clearly to people without an HR background A good communicator who enjoys sharing knowledge and solving problems A friendly, flexible and can-do attitude we’re serious about impact, not formality Bonus points if you’ve worked with CICs, charities or social enterprises What will you be doing? Key Responsibilities Provide light admin support to the lived experience committee, helping them stay organised and effective Advise and support the Directors on HR matters as we grow Translate HR processes and policies into clear, accessible guidance for the committee and Directors Help with drafting and maintaining policies, procedures, and volunteer/employee handbooks Support fair and effective recruitment, onboarding, and volunteer management Review risks and advise on compliance with HR and safeguarding requirements Keep an eye on best practice for small organisations, charities, and CICs Explore automation/AI tools to streamline routine HR tasks
