As Lead Cost Controller, you will be a part of the Finance Department. Your main responsibilities will be to provide a proactive & robust cost management service and take ownership of project P&L reporting within DeepOcean's guidelines and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Line management of cost control team
2. Internal project P&L reporting & forecast including preparation & posting of project accruals and variance analysis.
3. Preparation & review of client cost reports
4. Ownership of aged debt & optimisation of cashflow
5. Input to preparation of variation order requests as required by project team.
6. Creation of project budget as handed over from tendering.
7. Highlight in timely manner any areas of concern for potential cost overrun.
8. Management of risk & opportunity reporting
9. Review of final project performance v as sold and feedback variances to tendering to promote improvement.
10. Support client & external audits as required.
11. Input to monthly project reviews with Senior Management.
Qualifications
12. Project cost control knowledge & experience.
13. Project accounting knowledge & experience.
14. Previous line management experience is beneficial
15. Advanced Excel skills.
16. Experience of using ERP systems.
17. Degree qualified in Finance or Business Studies is preferable.
18. ACCA I CIMA qualified/ part qualified is beneficial.
19. Experience of broader project controls remit is an advantage.
