An exciting opportunity to join the Acute Cardiac Unit team based at the Royal site.
The post holder is expected to assist the Ward/Department team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carers.
You must be able to demonstrate experience in a hospital setting working at NVQ Level 2 and must be signed off on the Care Certificate.
Successful applicants will be supported in their professional growth and career progression. This includes being enrolled in the Band 3 induction programme. If successful, you will be supported on ACU and welcomed to the team.
The role involves participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. You will be involved in all aspects of patient care, with particular attention to pressure ulcer care, personal hygiene, toileting, and feeding, reporting progress and raising concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN).
You will work collaboratively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. You will undertake a range of skilled tasks with support from the RN and will proactively lead in delivering all aspects of basic patient care from admission to discharge. You will also support and develop junior staff and contribute to ward development.
